What Does “Follow Friday” Mean to You?

or, Why Fridays on Twitter are 24 Hours of Awesome!
Everyday on Twitter is a day when you have the opportunity to connect with new Tweeple, learn something you didn’t know the day before, and generally enjoy yourself by goofing off with your buddies. Friday, however, is a very special day on Twitter: it’s Follow Friday!
Follow Friday, or #followFriday, as it’s commonly referred to, is a day to recommend your friends to the Twitterverse. What does #followFriday mean to me? It’s an opportunity to give back to my friends and followers, to lend a hand to the new guy (to the extent that I can), and to expand my network by forging new friendships.

Follow Friday is one of those things that makes twitter great. It allows you to get your favorite tweeple out front and center to gain more followers. Really people who deserve to be heard above the fluff, stuff and junk.

Man, Follow Friday is awesome! This is my first week particpating, but it’s so great to be a part of the Twitter community. Like anything, Twitter is what you make of it. You can sit back and be lazy and just find people who are interesting to follow, or you can be active and interact with things like Follow Friday!
